Hi everyone,

The new UQ Metascience and Open REsearch community (UQ-MORE) will be meeting this Monday from 2-3pm to discuss the attached seminal paper: “False-Positive Psychology: Undisclosed Flexibility in Data Collection and Analysis Allows Presenting Anything as Significant” by Simmons, Nelson & Simonsohn (2011).

UQ-MORE meets every two weeks (same time and place), with meetings alternating between live presentations and journal clubs that follow the ReproducibiliTea format. Our mission is to share ideas, build community and learn about the various problems in science as well as their potential solutions. Everyone is welcome to join, and no particular meta-/open science experience is required!

Please join us in room N109 of the Central Library (Building 12, near Bookmark Café), or via Zoom if you can’t make the meeting in person. If you’d like to be added to the calendar invite and Google Group for future meetings please contact Cooper Smout or Scott MacIntyre.

Hope to see you there!
